A wine supplier has sued a Lusaka businessman for failing to pay a K42,000 debt on account that he is protected by President Edgar Lungu by virtue of being a member of the ruling party.

Ng’curu Nyanga sued Darius Sinkamba in the Lusaka High Court demanding payment of the same debt.

According to the statement of claim, Nyanga supplied 200 cases of wine at K84,000 to Sinkamba.

But Sinkamba failed to pay the balance bragging that nothing could be done to him as he was protected by the Head of State.

Nyanga also stated that the Defendant boasted about being powerful in the PF and all efforts to remind him to clear the debt had proved fruitless.

The plaintiff stated that he had suffered losses due to the breach in the agreement and is now seeking an order for debt repayment.
