A 34-year-old businessman of Chilenje compound in Lusaka has appeared in the Magistrates’ Court for allegedly pointing a toy gun at a woman and threatening her with injury.

In this matter, Likando Muyangana is charged with one count of threatening violence contrary to section 90(b) of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence allege that on July 3, this year, Muyangana threatened Naomi Makungu with injury and did point a toy gun pistol at her.

But when the matter came up before magistrate Nthandose Chabala, Monday, Muyangana denied the charge.

The matter comes up on September 03, 2019, for trial.

In another matter, a 32-year-old Lusaka man has been dragged to court for allegedly stealing a boerboel dog worth K10,000.

In this matter, Andrew Kangwa is charged with theft.

It is alleged that on June 6, 2019, in Lusaka, Kangwa stole one male boerboel dog valued at K10,000, property of Evans Sinyangwe.

Kangwa will take plea before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court.
