A 45-year-old businesswoman of Lusaka’s Kashima Township has been dragged to court for allegedly insulting a police inspector.

Muyunda Liswaniso has been charged with one count of use of insulting language.

Particulars of the offence are that Liswaniso, on August 19, this year in Lusaka, used insulting language on Inspector Maruza saying, “Mr Maruza, mukongo wako Maruza, mapwanzi yako, umuuze mukazi wako ndine nakuuza”.

The conduct of Liswaniso is said to have potential to provoke Inspector Maruza so as to cause him to break the public peace.

But when the matter came up yesterday, Liswaniso was not before court.

Chief resident magistrate Lameck Mwale allocated the matter to resident magistrate Faides Hamaundu where she will take plea.
