ZAMBIA’S soccer export to Egypt Emmanuel Mayuka is reportedly missing from his club Zamalek. Mayuka, who has been on holiday, was expected back in Egypt after the festive season to help his club as they prepare for the CAF champions league and Egyptian Premier League which resumes next month.

But the 26-year-old is reported to have gone Away Without Official Leave (AWOL) and the club is not aware about his whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Mayuka has been left out of list of players submitted to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the 2017 Champions League, according to a list which Zamalek released yesterday, January 18, 2017.

Mayuka joined Egyptian giants last year after an unsuccessful stint at French League 2 side. The former South Hampton striker has failed to replicate the form that saw him win the golden boot with Zambia at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. Mayuka scored one goal at Southampton and was later loaned to French side Sochaux.

The former Kabwe Warriors striker also had a stint with Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv. Efforts to get Mayuka were futile by press time.
