Chipolopolo’s home-based call-ups are leaving Zambia in two groups outbound for Johannesburg en route for their four-day training camp in Ghana ahead of Saturdays 2018 FIFA World Cup Group B qualifier against Nigeria in Uyo.

The first group of Lusaka-based call-ups left for Johannesburg early on Sunday morning with coach Wedson Nyirenda.

“The second group of players who include the Zesco players will leave later in the day from Ndola,”FAZ spokesperson Desmond Katongo said.

The players will converge at OR Tambo Airport before taking the flight to Accra where Zambia will set-up their training base until Thursday. The ten foreign-based call-ups will start arriving in Accra on Sunday with the last arrivals expected later on Monday.

Meanwhile in selected action by the overseas call-ups, striker Fashion Sakala was on the bench for champions Spartak Moscow in Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Chisamba Lungu’s ex-club Ural.

Fashion has yet to make a league start for the 6th placed defending champions from three games since his elevation from Spartak Moscow II last month.

Still in Russia, defender Stopilla Sunzu played the full 90minutes on Saturday in 9th placed Arsenal Tula’s 1-0 home win over 3rd placed Krasnodar.

Other call-ups from Austria and Turkey are in action later on Sunday.
