Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions manager Christopher Malunga has revealed that flyweight African Boxing Union (ABU) champion, Alfred Ibrahim Muhammed Muwowo has been given a chance to fight a South African boxer Jackson Chauke for the World Boxing Council (WBC) international belt.

The championship bout will take place in South Africa on 7th of December 2018 at Carnaval City Hotel, Sandton Johannesburg.

In a statement availed to the media yesterday, Malunga indicated that Real Steel was the promoter of the championship and further said that both camps had agreed to the conditions of the championship bout.

“This is a golden chance for Alfred to represent Zambia at WBC level. We are going to make sure that he is well prepared for this important championship bout.” Malunga said.

He further re-affirmed the stable’s commitment to giving equal opportunities to its boxers on accounts of staying committed and disciplined.

“OQBP will make sure that all the boxers are given equal opportunities to excel in their careers provided they remain committed and disciplined,” said Malunga.

The last time Alfred fought was during a non-title tournament in Lusaka on 13th October against Tanzania’s Haji Juma. Juma was knocked down in 2 minutes, 30 seconds of the second round.
