Shepolopolo coach Bruce Mwape has demanded nothing less that a win in a friendly match against the Black Queens of Ghana scheduled for November 3 at Nkoloma stadium.

Mwape said the friendly would help assess how prepared the ladies were for the Women AFCON slated for Ghana next month.

Speaking on the sidelines of Shepolopolo training at Sunset stadium in Lusaka yesterday, Mwape reminded the ladies that they needed to win the fans’ hearts by excellently executing any task that was put ahead of them before leaving for Ghana.

“I want to remind the ladies that they should take this friendly against Ghana very seriously. It will indicate how prepared they are for the bigger challenge in Ghana and of course how effective the camp is so far. I do not want them to take it for granted because it would be wasting money,” said Mwape.

And assistant coach Beauty Mwamba appealed to the girls to exhibit the best of their capabilities during the friendly against one of West Africa’s formidable teams.

“They really should be glad FAZ has organized this friendly. Ghana is one of the female football powerhouses in Africa and there is a lot that they can learn from them,” said Mwamba.

Mwamba added that the girls were very expectant and in good shape ahead of the friendly against Ghana. She appealed to fans to come in numbers and rally behind the team.
