Barbara Banda has started her Spanish adventure with a bang, scoring a late goal to seal a much needed victory for her club Feminino Logrono.

Banda signed with Escuelas de Fútbol de Logroño a few weeks ago and started the match against Sporting Club Huelva to mark her first appearance in Spanish Primera league.

Logroño who recorded their first win of the season last weekend started strong and broke the deadlock after 10 minutes thanks to a strike from Equatorial Guinea’s 29 year old midfielder Dorine Nina.

Logroño controlled much of the game but had to wait for the second half to double their lead and secure victory.

Fourteen minutes to time Banda headed home to double home side’s lead. The hosts held on to win the match 2-0.

When Barbara Banda signed for Logroño they were bottom of the table with 2 points and but now they are 11th on the log with 8 points.
