Lusaka Lawyer Lewis Mosho has written to Oracle Media directors Mutinta Mazoka M’membe and Frank Sibukku asking them to pay K5 million within 72 hours for allegedly using Post property to run The Mast Newspaper.

In a letter titled; “RE: DEMAND FOR PAYMENT OF K5 MILLION FOR YOUR USE AND CONVERSION OF PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE POST NEWSPAPERS LTD (IN LIQUIDATION)” today, Mosho threatened to begin court proceedings to wind up the operations of The Mast Newspaper and Oracle Media Productions should they fail to comply.

“The office of the provisional liquidator of The Post Newspapers Limited (In Liquidation) hereby demands from you payments for the sum of K5 million kwacha being the amount in value for the property belonging to The Post Newspapers Limited (In Liquidation) which property you have without the authority of the provisional liquidator, converted to your ownership, procession and use in the production, publication and running the affairs of The Mast Newspapers. The property includes motor vehicles, printing equipment, office equipment, lease or tenancies as well as buildings the full list of which is to your knowledge,” wrote Mosho.

“Should we not receive full value within 72 hours for the properties as hereby demanded kindly be informed that, as creditor of The Mast Newspapers and Oracle Media Productions Limited, The Post Newspapers Limited (In Liquidation) shall petition for the winding up of Oracle Media Productions Limited/ Mast Newspapers for failure to pay debts as they fall due as well as on grounds that it is just and equitable that you will be winded up for committing a fraud on The Post Newspapers Limited (In Liquidation).
