Police in Vubwi district of Eastern Province have arrested a 32-year-old man for inserting a stick into his ex-lover’s private parts after she dumped him.

According to a statement from Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo, Thursday, Gravazio Sakala sneaked into his ex-lover’s house and inserted a stick into her private parts with the aid of an unknown man around 21:00 hours on June 1.

“This occurred on 1st June, 2019 around 21:00 hours in Vubwi District of Eastern Province. The victim reported that she had been assaulted in her private parts by her former boyfriend Gravazio Sakala aged 32 of the same village using a stick. It is alleged that after the victim advised the former boyfriend to go to his wife, he sneaked into the suspect’s house the following night, where he got hold of her and inserted a stick in her private parts with the help of an unknown man,” stated Katongo.

She stated that Sakala was arrested in Katete, Wednesday, on a bus on his way to Lusaka and he is detained in police custody.
