Chilubi PF member of parliament Rosaria Fundanga has died.

Both Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Patrick Matibini and Northern Province Minister Lazarus Bwalya have confirmed her death.

“I wish to acquaint the House with a very sad fact that Mrs Rosaria Fundanga, member of parliament for Chilubi parliamentary constituency, has passed on. The honourable member passed away today, Wednesday 20th November 2019. Other details concerning the honourable member’s passing on will be communicated in due course. Her Honour the Vice-President will also at an appropriate juncture move a motion to place on record the House’s condolences on the death of the honourable member. May I now request the House to rise and observe a minute of silence in honour of the memory of the late Mrs Rosaria Fundanga, MP,” announced Dr Matibini.

And in an interview, Bwalya said the late MP died after a short illness.

“It’s true. She had a short illness but in terms of what transpired, I am yet to find out. It is confirmed because even the speaker announced that on the floor of the House. I am not too sure of the details yet,” said Bwalya.
