GOVERNMENT says domestic debt rose to K242 billion at the end of August 2025, up from K229.4 billion in December 2024, while external debt stood at US$15.78 billion in June. Ministry of Finance Director of Economic Management Akapelwa Imwiko further says Zambia is projected to experience a robust rebound, with GDP averaging 6.0 percent between 2026 and 2028.
