A 19-YEAR-OLD woman from Luangwa district has recounted how she stole her friend’s baby and presented it to her boyfriend as their child, fearing that he would report her to the police if he discovered she had suffered a miscarriage. Speaking from the police cells, her boyfriend, Lochina, revealed that from the time his girlfriend became pregnant until the child was presented to him, he had been providing financial support, with his girlfriend’s mother regularly phoning him for money.
