TOURISM Minister Rodney Sikumba says he would rather leave government altogether than be taken to another ministry if wildlife officers feel he has failed. Sikumba adds that wildlife officers are essential workers who cannot strike. On Monday, Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) officers in Kasama and Livingstone staged a sit-in protest, demanding improved conditions of service, the lifting of the suspension of one of their colleagues, and the removal of Sikumba and his Permanent Secretary, Evans Muhanga.
