A CONSORTIUM of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) says according its Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT), President Hakainde Hichilema won the August presidential election with 57.9 percent of the vote. According to the Consortium’s August 2026 Interim Elections and PVT Report released on Monday, at national level, the PVT totalled 57.9 percent for President Hichilema compared with the official ECZ result of 60.49 percent. The CSOs, which include SACCORD, GEARS and ZCLU, have also expressed concern that the winner of the Mandevu parliamentary seat has remained undeclared, despite results having been announced at polling-station level.
