TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) has described ACC’s move to withdraw a corruption matter involving former Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya, former Attorney General Likando Kalaluka SC and six others as shocking. TI-Z has since urged law enforcement agencies to up their game, saying someone still needs to be held accountable for the Honeybee drug scandal. Lusaka Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili recently discharged Dr Chilufya, Kalaluka SC and six others after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) withdrew a matter in which the eight were charged with conspiracy to defraud the government.
