THE Kitwe District Medical Health Office, through the department of adolescents, has revealed an increase in cases of new HIV infections among adolescent girls in the district, with the second and third quarters of 2022 recording 202 and 181 cases, respectively. This is compared to the 51 and 47 cases, respectively, recorded during the same period in 2021. The office is, however, concerned that only a few adolescent boys are accessing HIV testing services.
