ANNIE Monta, the wife of late Kitwe businessman Richard Chileshe, popularly known as Chile One, has pleaded not guilty to the offence of murder. Monta is alleged to have shot dead Chileshe, 42, after a marital dispute early last year. She appeared before Kitwe High Court judge Evaristo Pengele yesterday charged with one count of murder. Particulars of the offence allege that Monta on April 30, 2022, murdered Chileshe. Monta, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence after the charge was read to her.
