ZAMBIA records 13,800 new cancer cases annually, of which only 3,000 are seen at the Cancer Diseases Hospital, says Health Minister Sylvia Masebo. And Masebo says US$25 million has been allocated towards the Livingstone and Ndola treatment centres which government will co-finance with Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID).
