GOVERNANCE activist Brebner Changala says it’s hypocritical for President Hakainde Hichilema and other African leaders to visit Ukraine and Russia for purposes of making peace, leaving out neighbouring Sudan. On Wednesday, government announced that President Hichilema had embarked on an official visit to Ukraine and the Russian Federation, where he was expected to meet with the two countries’ leaders. In a statement, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Stanley Kakubo said the meetings were part of the African Peace Initiative focused on addressing the situation between Russia and Ukraine.
