MINISTRY of Agriculture Permanent Secretary Administration Yvonne Mpundu says agricultural production has continued to be threatened by challenges such as floods and increased outbreak of plant pests and diseases. Officiating at the Regional Pest Analysis Training Workshop, Tuesday, Mpundu said the rise in outbreaks of pests and diseases had resulted in the worsening of post-harvest losses, thus affecting food and nutrition security in the SADC region. “It is widely known that agriculture in the SADC region is a mainstay of most of our economies.
