UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has distanced the ruling party from any illegality or misconduct being perpetrated by the police, if any. And the UPND has apologised for the manner former president Edgar Lungu was treated by ruling party cadres at a traditional ceremony in Eastern Province last week. Mweetwa says there are still isolated pockets of political hooliganism, caderism and indiscipline, which is at variance with the rule of law and what President Hakainde Hichilema stands for.
