FORMER Ministry of Defence permanent secretary Stardy Mwale yesterday appeared before the Anti-Corruption Commission where he was warned and cautioned in relation to a ‘modernisation contract’ . Mwale arrived at the ACC around 12:40 hours and only left around 15:30 hours. In an interview, Mwale’s lawyer confirmed that he had been warned and cautioned in relation to a contract related to the modernisation of facilities in the defence forces and possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime. “Mr Mwale was warned and cautioned in relation to a contract related to the modernisation of facilities in the defence forces.
