Lusaka businessman Sedrick Kasanda’s alleged lover Rumbidzai Chibanda has been dragged to court for allegedly assaulting a woman believed to be his wife’s relative. Chibanda is charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm Contrary to Section 248 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence are that Chibanda, on August 29, 2023, in Lusaka, jointly and whilst acting together with other persons unknown, did assault Hart Michelle thereby occasioning actual bodily harm. When the matter came up for allocation before Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili, he allocated the matter to Magistrate Kigan Litiya. Magistrate Litiya set November 27, 2023 for plea.
