MINISTER of Health Sylvia Masebo has disclosed that the country has recorded 567 cholera cases in the last 24 hours, with Lusaka recording 504 cases and 26 deaths. And Masebo says cholera is more concentrated in Lusaka Province because of issues of sanitation and personal hygiene, citing an example of how people in villages are more hygienic. Masebo gave the cholera update yesterday from the Heroes Stadium Cholera Treatment Centre, where she was checking on the patients until later in the evening. The health minister disclosed that the country had recorded 27 cholera deaths in the last 24 hours, 26 being from Lusaka and one from Kabwe.
