UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda has dispelled social media reports that President Hakainde Hichilema met UPND MPs to discuss constitutional amendments and former president Edgar Lungu’s immunity. In a statement, Friday, Imenda said during the meeting, the President urged MPs to spend more time in their constituencies and advised them to fully utilise the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), among other issues. “Social media reports suggesting that His Excellency Mr Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, held a caucus with the UPND members of Parliament at which they discussed constitutional amendments are not only false but outrageous.
