PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema’s Political Advisor Levy Ngoma has asked the Lusaka High Court for an injunction restraining Emmanuel Jay Banda and three others from continuing to make false defamatory statements against him and Trevor Mwiinde. In this matter, Ngoma and UPND Deputy National Youth Chairperson Mwiinde have sued the Petauke Independent MP, Zambian Whistle Blower owner Thomas Zgambo, NDC leader Saboi Imboela and PeP leader Sean Tembo over claims that the duo was behind Banda’s abduction. Ngoma and Mwiinde are seeking compensatory damages for defamation of character, as well as aggravated and exemplary damages for repeated publication of defamatory statements.
