THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court has forfeited 15 double-storey flats belonging former first lady Esther Lungu to the state after determining that they are tainted properties. Speaking to the press after the court’s ruling yesterday, former head of state Edgar Lungu and Esther both revealed that they were not surprised by the outcome. In this matter, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Gilbert Phiri had applied to have 15 double-storey flats allegedly belonging to Esther forfeited to the state.
