SECONDARY Schools Union of Zambia (SESTUZ) has insisted that GCE examinations are a scam and a calamity. The union says government and the Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) should not to take a dismissive approach to their advocacy which is aimed at restoring examination credibility. Last week, SESTUZ called for the suspension of GCE examinations until a proper, well structured, monitored and predictable tuition mechanism was put in place. But former education minister Professor Geofrey Lungwangwa advised the union to desist from making wild statements regarding the GCE examinations saying they should let ECZ handle any issues.
