THE Lusaka High Court has set June 26th for hearing of the Chinese injunction against the News Diggers’ documentary. The documentary which was initially scheduled for release on 23rd May is titled “Chinese Investment in Zambia; the good, the bad and the dangerous” featuring findings of the newspaper’s investigation including illegal mining activities, environmental damage, fraud and sex trafficking. News Diggers editor-in-chief Joseph Mwenda says the injunction has cost the newspaper valuable time, leading to serious disruption of business, among other things. “We are confident that the injunction will be lifted because we don’t see any logical cause of action in this matter,” said Mwenda....
