FOOD Reserve Agency (FRA) Board Chairperson Suresh Desai says the Agency has started purchasing maize from farmers in Lusaka, Central, Western and Southern Provinces. Desai says FRA has not yet commenced maize purchases in other provinces because the moisture content in the maize in these areas is still high. He has expressed hope that the Agency may soon begin buying maize in some parts of Eastern Province.
