A NURSE has testified how Livingstone Mayor Constance Nalishebo Muleabai received K180,000 from businessman Mark Gabites and later gave her K20,000. Muleabai, 46, is facing two counts of corruption contrary to Section 20(1) as read with Section 41(a) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012. In the first count, it is alleged that between August 1 and September 31, 2023, Muleabai corruptly solicited K120,000 and actually received K180,000 from Gabites as a bribe to facilitate a 100 per cent remission of property rates owed to the Livingstone City Council, a transaction involving Zamnuka Farming Limited.
