TRANSPORT and Logistics Minister Frank Tayali says he is perhaps the longest-serving Minister in his portfolio because he knows what he is doing. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, Tayali suggested that some lawmakers may benefit from in-house training on aviation matters, after Chilubi PF member of parliament Mulenga Fube cited Ethiopian Airlines as an example of an aircraft potentially needing to make an emergency landing at the dilapidated Serenje Airstrip. Earlier, Serenje MP George Kandafula asked when rehabilitation of the Serenje Airstrip would be completed, while Chama North MP Yotam Mtayachalo inquired about the upgrade of Chama Airstrip.
