POLICE in Lusaka have formally charged and arrested Abigail Kalyabanyama, aged 26, of Nyumba Yanga, for attempting to murder her 53-year-old companion, retired Brigadier General John Banda. Kalyabanyama is alleged to have shot the victim twice at the back of his head after a disagreement on July 26 around 23:40 hours. In a statement, Sunday, Assistant Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi said the incident occurred behind Crossroads Mall in Kabulonga, while the victim was taking Kalyabanyama back to her house.
