FIVE Kafue fishermen have drowned after their banana boat was capsized by a hippo on the Kafue River. In a statement issued, Saturday, Ministry of Tourism Principal Public Relations Officer Nelly Banda said the incident happened on August 14. “The Ministry of Tourism, through the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW), regrets to announce a tragic incident that occurred on the Kafue River in the early hours of 14th August 2025, resulting in the loss of five lives.
