FORMER president Rupiah Banda’s niece, Dolika Banda, says she is exploring various options to stand as president in the 2026 general election, indicating that she may contest as an independent or form a new political party. Banda was expected to takeover leadership of the People’s Alliance for Change (PAC), but she says she did not agree with constitutional procedures within the party, which she said did not meet her standards ahead of the party’s convention.
