THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has denied extending the mass registration of voters exercise to February 2026, saying the closing date of November 11, 2025, remains unchanged. Further, the Commission says it has recorded more than 1.2 million registrations from phases one to four, which includes both new voter registrations and updates to existing records. In a statement clarifying a viral social media post which claimed the Commission had extended the mass registration of voters exercise to February 2026, ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro denied the claims.
