POLICE in Namwala have apprehended a juvenile who went into hiding after allegedly raping and murdering his aunt. In a statement, Thursday, Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Auxensio Daka disclosed that the 17-year-old would be released to his parents or to Social Welfare as per the Children’s Code Act, because the Namwala Police Station had no holding cells for juveniles. “Reference is made to the subject matter which was reported at Namwala Police Station on November 4, 2025, at 12:50 hours.
