THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has submitted before the Constitutional Court that the Speaker of the National Assembly should not be represented by the Attorney General in a matter where she is sued for taking further steps in the legislative process related to Constitution Amendment Bill No. 7. In July, LAZ filed a petition in the Constitutional Court seeking an interim order to restrain Nelly Mutti, and all persons acting under her authority, from taking further steps in the legislative process related to Constitution Amendment Bill No. 7 of 2025.
