AGRICULTURE Minister Reuben Mtolo Phiri says farmers are happy because they are getting their farming inputs on time, stating that at least 500,000 have redeemed their inputs. In an interview, Tuesday, Phiri said the Ministry of Finance made funding available for farming inputs. “Overall, we are extremely safe because it is not government now that buys the fertiliser, it’s the private sector that distributes the fertiliser. We are giving the money to the farmers, that’s what e-voucher is all about. We give the money to the farmers to go and buy the inputs of choice.
