MAUREEN Lilanda, Chairperson of the National Arts Council of Zambia (NAC), has defended the nomination of late actress Wanga Zulu for Best Actress of the Year at this year’s Ngoma Awards, explaining that her nomination was made before her passing. Wanga passed away early last month and was best known for playing “Mai Guru” in the drama series Mpali.
