THE Lusaka Magistrates Court has acquitted Chienge Independent member of parliament Given Katuta in a matter where she was accused of threatening violence against Times of Zambia photojournalist Henry Chunza. The case related to an incident where Katuta was alleged to have spat on Chunza shortly after she was suspended and ordered to leave the National Assembly by Speaker Nelly Mutti in 2023. It was alleged that Katuta, on July 21, 2023, did threaten to cause injury or alarm to Henry Chunza, to which she did say whilst chasing him, “who are you to take photos of me”.
