THE Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development says it has successfully trained over 1,000 artisanal and small-scale miner cooperatives and issued them with artisanal mining licences. In a statement, Sunday, Ministry Principle Public Relations Officer Shamwinda Tembo said the training was done through three phases of the Ministry’s Intensive National Capacity Building programme, conducted in the last quarter of 2025.
