A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has drowned in a water-filled quarry pit in Livingstone’s Ngwenya area. In a statement, Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident, stating that it happened on January 11, around 16:00 hours. Namalongo said the deceased, identified as Matthews Sibajene, was retrieved from the pit by a 15-year-old boy after two friends he was swimming with raised alarm when he was submerged in the water.
