CENTRAL Province Permanent Secretary Dr Milner Mwanakampwe says test runs are ongoing at Mulungushi Textiles in preparation for commissioning of the plant by the third week of March. Meanwhile, Mulungushi Textiles General Manager Brigadier General Emmanuel Sementi says it would take about a month of testing to ensure that the machines are running smoothly, stating that actual production is expected to start in April. For the past 19 years, Mulungushi Textiles had remained closed, with previous regimes using the facility as a campaign tool during election years.
