THE 2026 Kenneth Kaunda Day Marathon has received a major financial boost after Gold Sponsor Stanbic Bank Zambia and Headline Sponsor Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia (PICZ) committed a combined K3.5 million towards this year’s event slated for next month. Stanbic Bank Zambia injected K1.5 million, while PICZ contributed K2 million, significantly strengthening preparations for the fifth edition of the marathon scheduled for April 28 in Lusaka. The event, which commemorates Zambia’s founding president Kenneth Kaunda, is operating on an estimated budget of K6.5 million this year.
