THE Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) says the Ndola-Sakania PPP Road project was implemented without an independent engineering consultant, leading to a premature failure in a number of sections. EIZ president Eng Wesley Kaluba adds that it is laughable that the contractor suggested that patching up the road is as good as reconstruction, stating that the contractor needs to rip up and reconstruct the road.
