MINISTER of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu says government is in the process of procuring a turf protection system aimed at preserving the newly installed pitch at National Heroes Stadium when hosting non-sporting events. Government successfully completed the first phase of rehabilitation works at the facility, marked by the installation of a modern hybrid football pitch designed to restore the stadium to international standards. Nkandu said additional upgrades are in the pipeline, including the installation of modern electronic LED screen boards to enhance the stadium’s infrastructure and spectator experience.
