UNIVERSITY of Zambia students protested today after the tragic death of Emmanuel Bwalya, a second-year student who drowned after accidentally falling into a trench dug to address the institution’s sewer problems. Meanwhile, President Hakainde Hichilema has urged students to remain calm and respond to this tragedy through dialogue and restraint. The protest comes a day after students demonstrated over poor sanitation on campus.
