FORMER Secretary to the Cabinet Leslie Mbula has welcomed the Benefits of Former Presidents and Former Vice Presidents Bill, stating that once enacted, it will deter leaders from stealing while in power. Government on Wednesday introduced seven bills, among them the Benefits of Former Presidents and Former Vice Presidents Bill. The bill seeks to provide for the retirement benefits of former presidents and former vice presidents of Zambia and to repeal and replace the Benefits of Former Presidents Act of 1993.
